Waiting for you

It all
comes down to time,
like the “When” questions
where our voices
are what’s taking up space.
I’m still waiting
for you to smile,
waiting to hear your name
and waiting to see what happens,
but it’s like I’m on my own,
all by myself
between my best days
where someone just like you
actually thinks I’m worth it.
