I probably do
and have always
loved her this way,
like an
undeveloped picture
that has stayed
where it was lost.
I alone know
why and where I look,
only seeing
her perfect body
as a manuscript
for what’s really there.
Such a tone
in the likeness of ability
where so many of the real
are only kept as friends.
