Complications

This is
the sharpest state,
the way you feel
while the older crowds
gather to scream
and spit out
the natural.
Feeding on
indecency,
hearing our names
in other tones
and trying to breathe
while laughing.
I think
it’s just me standing here,
always knowing why to leave,
but never knowing when.
