Like names

I can see you’re alone from here,
unbothered by their ignorance
and condemned to describing
all those things
that other people get to do.
You’re in your own head
when that look on your face
begins to show itself,
tossed blindly aside
into the piles and piles
that’ve been built
by all those things
that get forgotten
and left behind.
