I shut my mouth

We’ll never truly know,

all we might see is the way we move with each other,

as if only moving around each other

while the streets call out to us to come outside.

I have my own reasons for hiding,

but they aren’t very good

and these are the days

where struggle is a competition

and everybody

has a better story than you.
