Pointless times

Fearless whispers
and the points
we’re trying to make.
Those landmark buildings
hovering above our skills
where we build
until there’s no other way down
and those quiet evenings
keep us all crippled.
My discarded thoughts don’t matter,
pale and unrecognized
as the path sinks
and becomes weeds
that take away anything
we might’ve looked to find.
